Chris Dixon, originally from Alaska, is a longtime anarchist organizer, writer, and educator with a PhD from the University of California at Santa Cruz. His writing has appeared in numerous book collections as well as periodicals such as Anarchist Studies, Clamor, the Earth First! Journal, Left Turn, and Social Movement Studies. Dixon is currently completing a book based on interviews with organizers across the U.S. and Canada focusing on anti-authoritarian politics in broader-based movements, which is forthcoming from the University of California Press. He serves on the board of the Institute for Anarchist Studies and the advisory board for the activist journal Upping the Anti. Dixon lives in Ottawa, Ontario, unceded Algonquin Territory, where he is involved with Indigenous solidarity organizing.
