Rosa Clemente (Hip Hop activist, journalist, and former Green Party vice presidential candidate) discusses the importance of Hip Hop culture and its expression of social reality for Black and Latino/Latina urban youth.
In that context, she examines the situation for women, particularly women of color, as they interact with an often patriarchal, sexist culture. She looks at some of the gains women have made in their struggle to express themselves through Hip Hop.
