I just found this New York times article on the foreign media in (or rather out of) Gaza. It seems that even though the Israeli Supreme court has overturned the decision to ban foreign media from entering Gaza, they are still not admitted entrance (on grounds of their personal safety, of course).
"…unlike any war in Israel’s history, in this one the government is seeking to entirely control the message and narrative for reasons both of politics and military strategy."
Although Ethan Bronner, the reporter, goes on to explain the catastrophe of the Lebanon war, as something to do with the media, I hardly believe that there’s good reason not to let the media in. Period. Wars are a political tactic. So what is this other than tactical censorship?
