The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: What we can learn from Gandhi

Finkelstein explains how the Israeli-Palestinian issue is among the least controversial conflicts in the contemporary world given the strong international consensus that exists for the means of its resolution. This consensus offers activists a strong foundation to successfully apply Gandhian principles of nonviolence – ones that are deeper and more nuanced than those of conventional wisdom. Invoking the practice Gandhi called Satyagraha ("Hold onto the Truth!) Finkelstein explains that the time is ripe for activists to mobilize courageously – preferably nonviolently if they are able – to force a just resolution once and for all.
