I am anti-corporatocracy. I don't reside in a quirky 'left' corner of the corporatocracy, as some 'progressives' do, from where they critique the corporatocracy and the mafia capitalism which it incorporates, for a living, but never quite attack it. I hardly make a living at $12.50 per hour (Toronto, Canada). I'm a coffee geek and would quit my security guard gig in a heartbeat and open my own coffee shop if I could. I hate being a cog in this evil system of things. (We all are. We don't all resist.) On the other hand, I'm running out of energy. I can't afford the market rate for a bachelor apt here in TO. I share facilities with a pig and hate going home. I don't remember when I last had a holiday, but if I could take one, I wouldn't want to be home more than I already am. I can't retire. I'm not a Palestinian in Gaza, but the same type of people are responsible for Gazans' plight and for my plight, which I recognize is still paradise compared to that of those Gazans and others. But the solution to this sorry state won't come from any human champion or group of human champions. We the people are outgunned both literally and in the sense that our tormentors are utterly lawless. They will always be more capable of effective offensive action because they are always ready, willing and able to break rules that civilized people wouldn't dream of breaking. But this situation won't last.
