Big victory in Oakland today (8-16-14): Israeli ship didn’t even try to enter San Francisco Bay

Somewhere between 5-10,000 people mobilized today in Oakland, California, USA, trying to keep an Israeli ship from the Zim Lines from being unloaded today. Mobilization was so good that they didn’t even enter San Francisco Bay! Big victory–spirited march, many people, not going to take this shit any more!

One of the best things about he march itself was the conscious internationalism of the marchers:  they specifically linked Israeli apartheid to South Africa, but also made links to Haiti, the Philippines, and Ferguson, Missouri (USA).
