These things probably tell you something about me -
I got my initial education in social justice listening to Bob Marley and the Wailers as a teenager, then in my late 20's reading Chomsky which led me to Z.
I identify with the humanist world view.
My favouite comedian is John Shuttleworth.
I enjoy all kinds of "roots" music including folk, reggae, blues,hip-hop and punk.
Originally from Stoke-on-trent, I am the youngest of three children - and the only boy! My younger sister Julie is a single mother of three who works as a cleaner at University campus. My older sister, also a single mother of two, is head mistress of a primary school. My mum, now retired, worked as a hairdresser and later in a cake shop and later still in a factory distributing phamaceuticals. My dad, also retired, worked all his life as a brick layer.
I now live in Birmingham (UK) where I work for the NHS as a Health Care Assistant . In addition to this I also do some trade union work. However, over the past two years or so most of my spare time has been directed towards the creation of a new UK based initiative called Project for a Participatory Society - United Kingdom (www.ppsuk.org.uk).
