DonateConcerning Paul Street’s ZNet article – “Words, Deeds, and Inequality” – December 13 , 2013, we can no longer stand idly by to the growing gap between words & inequality &the axctual necessary deeds that must be implemented to address the growing problem of savage inequality of increasing, even astronomical growth of 95% of concetrated income among the richest one percent of the population. This is demonstrated by the fact the top one percent of families has 288 times than the average family. In addition, the average CEO makes 273 times more income than the average American worker whereas not long ago , that CEO would only make 20 to 30 times more income. Thew ultimate outcome of such an oppressive corporate elitism will mean the eventual destruction of the American middle class and working class that will mean more poverty, misery, and marginalization aside from the destruction of the environment that could ultimately result in the destruction of our species and the ecological destruction of our planet, including flora and fauna. This is known as ecoicide. that is linked with greed, materialism, selfishness, and reckless individualism. Thus, we can not survive as a species ultimately if we fail to change our disatrous life style. And according to studies done at MIT, this ecological destruction will occur in the next 20 to 30 years, if we fail to take the necessary, drastic steps to save our environment. And all of this requires a concerted grassroots movement against corporate elitism that will create a more just and equal society not only in America but also throughout the world. We must make a great effort to create a sustainable, prosperous, and stable environment . And this includes eliminating brutal state repression.in order to create a truly democratic milieu.
