I do most of the daily, weekly shopping for the family, for example, food. Recently instead of simply moving quickly through the supermarket, I paid careful attention to prices, especially meat. We don’t eat meat, but I looked at poultry, beef, etc. It came as a surprise to me that prices were up 10-30%! Okay, no meat is one way to save money, not the only reason, but, of course, all other products are the same. It is gouging, immoral, and should be illegal. Government could work to control prices. But who does the government, at any level, generally work for? We know that answer.
