The profusion of newsy imagery, ranging from the iconic to the banal, detracts from the intelligence of this lecture. The lecturer couldn’t possibly have had some of the images in mind. Others among the images, while applicable, limit the scope of what is said.
A decent documentary would show only the speaker and the faces in his audience.
